ElderWell LLC and its Private Professional Fiduciaries manage the health and finances of our community's older adult and special needs population in the greater Los Angeles area. We serve as court appointed or privately named trustees, trust protectors, executors or administrators of a will, conservators or guardians of the person and/or estate, agents for finance under a durable power of attorney, agents for health care under an advance health care directive, receivers and probate administrators.
We are tremendously humbled and take pride in the fiduciary, or “position of trust” role we provide for our clients and their families, and provide our services with the utmost integrity, loyalty, professionalism and confidentiality. We are members of the Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC) and the National Guardianship Association, and as such must adhere to the stringent continuing professional educational requirements and codes of ethics of these associations. Please visit the PFAC website to learn more about the role of a professional fiduciary.
Similar to other licensed professionals such as nurses, accountants and architects, Private Professional Fiduciaries are licensed and regulated by the California Department of Consumer Affairs - Professional Fiduciaries Bureau. Private Professional Fiduciaries must annually report to the Professional Fiduciaries Bureau details on cases, continuing education, business practices, and personal/financial/legal changes. Please visit the Professional Fiduciaries Bureau website, which contains information useful for consumers seeking fiduciary services.
Here is an educational video for both consumers and other professionals with information on the history and role of the California Licensed Professional Fiduciary.
